Punjab के बाहर के reserved-category candidates को Punjab reservation/fee concession का benefit नहीं मिलेगा और उन्हें applicable Unreserved/General category conditions के अनुसार apply करना होगा।
Vacancy Details
Punjab District Courts में Clerk के कुल 1,270 पद notified हैं।
इनमें 31 August 2026 तक उपलब्ध vacancies के साथ 28 February 2027 तक anticipated vacancies भी शामिल हैं।
Vacancies में UR/General, EWS, SC, BC/OBC, Freedom Fighter, Sports, PwBD और Ex-Servicemen सहित Punjab Government के applicable reservation rules के अनुसार विभिन्न categories शामिल हैं।
महिला candidates के लिए भी applicable categories में posts reserved हैं।
Important: Advertisement में स्पष्ट किया गया है कि actual appointment/merit तैयार करते समय vacancies की संख्या बढ़ या घट सकती है।
Educational Qualification / Eligibility
Educational Qualification इस recruitment का महत्वपूर्ण eligibility criterion है। Candidate को application की closing date तक सभी prescribed qualifications पूरी करनी होंगी।

सिर्फ Graduation होना पर्याप्त नहीं है। Matriculation level पर Punjabi subject की condition भी mandatory eligibility का हिस्सा है।

Other State Candidates
Punjab के बाहर के candidates को Punjab की reserved categories के आधार पर reservation, fee concession और age relaxation का benefit नहीं मिलेगा।
ऐसे candidates को सामान्यतः Unreserved/General category के अंतर्गत consider किया जाएगा।
Salary / Pay Scale
Punjab District Courts में Clerk post के लिए notified pay:
₹29,200 – Level-5
यह pay structure fresh recruitment/appointment पर applicable Punjab Government instructions के अनुसार रहेगा।
Selection Process
Punjab Court Clerk Recruitment 2026 का selection केवल एक written paper पर समाप्त नहीं होगा।
Selection broadly निम्न stages में होगा:
Stage 1 – Online Written Examination (CBT)
Stage 2 – Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
Stage 3 – Checking of Original Testimonials / Interaction
Stage 4 – Final Select List
Computer Proficiency Test qualifying nature का है। इसके marks final merit में add नहीं किए जाएंगे।
Final select list prescribed rules के अनुसार Written Examination/CBT merit के आधार पर तैयार की जाएगी।
Written Exam और CPT qualify करने के बाद shortlisted candidates को Original Testimonials/Documents की checking/interaction के लिए बुलाया जाएगा।

Minimum Qualifying Marks
Candidate को:
प्रत्येक subject में कम से कम 33% marks
और
Written Examination में overall कम से कम 40% marks
प्राप्त करने होंगे।
Important GK Condition
यह recruitment की एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण special condition है:
English Composition के subjective portion की checking केवल उन्हीं candidates की होगी जिन्होंने General Knowledge subject में कम से कम 33% marks प्राप्त किए हों।
इसलिए केवल overall 40% score कर लेना पर्याप्त नहीं है।
Negative Marking
Objective/MCQ questions में प्रत्येक गलत answer पर:
1/4 Mark (0.25) Negative Marking
Unattempted question के लिए कोई mark नहीं मिलेगा और कोई negative marking भी नहीं होगी।
Normalization
अगर CBT multiple shifts में आयोजित होता है, तो objective portion के marks को prescribed normalization method से normalize किया जाएगा।
Subjective portion के marks normalization के अंतर्गत नहीं आते।
Computer Proficiency Test / Typing Test
Written Examination के बाद category-wise निर्धारित संख्या में candidates को Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) के लिए बुलाया जाएगा।
CPT mandatory और qualifying nature का है।
इसके marks final merit में शामिल नहीं होंगे।

Part-II Typing Test की evaluation केवल उन candidates की होगी जो Spreadsheet Test में कम से कम 4 marks प्राप्त करेंगे।
Typing speed calculation में mistakes को भी consider किया जाएगा।
PwBD Candidates – CPT Exemption
कुछ eligible Persons with Benchmark Disabilities के लिए prescribed conditions और required disability/medical certificates के आधार पर Computer Proficiency Test से exemption का provision उपलब्ध है।
Both Arms affected (BA) category के eligible PwBD candidates prescribed disability certificate के आधार पर exemption claim कर सकते हैं।
अन्य eligible PwBD candidates जिन्हें 30 WPM typing करने में physical limitation है, उन्हें prescribed Disability Certificate के साथ competent Government Medical Authority का required certificate देना होगा।
ऐसी exemption के लिए prescribed documents Written Examination result के 15 days के भीतर submit करने की condition लागू है।
Final Merit & Tie-Breaking
Computer Proficiency Test केवल qualifying है।
Final select list Written Examination/CBT merit के आधार पर तैयार होगी।
अगर दो या अधिक candidates के marks समान हों, तो prescribed tie-breaking rule के अनुसार older candidate को preference दी जाएगी।
अगर Date of Birth भी समान हो, तो candidates के names को alphabetical order (A–Z) के आधार पर preference दी जाएगी।

Important / Special Instructions
Punjab Reservation Rule: Reservation, reserved-category fee concession और संबंधित age relaxation का benefit केवल eligible Punjab domicile/resident candidates को मिलेगा। Other State reserved-category candidates Punjab reservation का benefit claim नहीं कर सकते।
Punjabi Requirement: Matriculation में Punjabi subject होना educational eligibility का mandatory हिस्सा है।
Computer Test: Computer Proficiency Test qualify करना mandatory है, लेकिन इसके marks final merit में नहीं जुड़ेंगे।
Subjective Paper Gate: English subjective portion तभी evaluate होगा जब candidate General Knowledge में कम से कम 33% marks प्राप्त करे।
Normalization: Multiple-shift CBT होने पर objective marks normalize किए जा सकते हैं।
Vacancy Variation: Advertised 1,270 vacancies final selection तक increase या decrease हो सकती हैं।
Government Employees: Applicable in-service candidates को prescribed rules के अनुसार अपने Department/Office से NOC की आवश्यकता हो सकती है।
